I've written a set of elisp bindings that I can use to log in, fetch properties from objects and edit those as if they were "virtual files" on my hard disk. When I hit save, a customized key binding sends a HTTP POST to the skotos server, telling it to store the property. *grins* And I hated Emacs too, until I sat down with it together with someone and worked on a project for 10 hours straight.
