I’m a packrat. Especially when it comes to email and logs from conversations, I’m obsessive. I’m like a Gareth on steroids when it comes to these things. I have no idea why, but for instance, my email right now takes 613 megabytes. I have email dating back to July, 2001 (I did have email dating back to the 1900′s but unfortunately I lost it). In fact, here are the subject lines and dates of the 10 oldest emails I have — by topic (i.e. I’ve excluded all the replies and replies-to-replies on some of the entries):

- [Sat October 20, 2001]: Welcome to Skotos! (No, that email was actually for a second account I created, because I’d forgotten my first account’s login info)

- [Wed October 24, 2001]: marble texture
- [Thu October 25, 2001]: loki_update-full-… issue

pttph! should have asked me this summer before I upgraded my computer. I know I had mid/late 1990s in there. It was rather nice to just let go and delete them. ALL. *muhahahaha*
actually, I believe I’ve an archive of the old outlook files for it all but not really sure how to access them now.
Damn. It’s sorta nifty to have email from another millennia, but I guess I’ll have to give up on that one for now. I’m sure it won’t be a big deal anyway.
In my hotmail (which I had cleaned up a few years ago) I still have 2 e-mails my father sent before passing away. The oldest is March 25, 2000 regarding him moving from Tampa Bay, Fl to Reno, NV. *grins*

I lost my university email archives, unfortunately, or I would’ve had email messages going back to the early 90s (99% all just within the department). After that, I have email going back to 1995 on a freenet account.
My problem is that I my archives are all over the place, partially mbox formatted folders and partially maildir folders, so no good overview at the moment.
