Annie~ Almost! “Grattis pa fodelsedagen” (the ‘en’ part was missing — the suffix ‘en’, if you remember, is the equivalent of the English word ‘the’ — so the literal translation becomes ‘Congratulations on THE birthday’, which sort of makes sense since ‘Congratulations on birthday’ isn’t English )

Nicole~ I remember you mentioning that you may have to do the surgery too. Remember it takes A LOT OF TIME — 3 years in my case, but I’m “special” — so “sooner rather than later” definitely applies. I’ll write up stuff in parts and post them here when I get time.

Here’s wishing you the best of a speedy recovery hon. Let me know how it pans out in the end. And you’re right, I think some people would like to hear a long account of it (maybe a little at a time, in stages of the process). I know I would, not only cause I’m nosy but because it’s a surgery I’ve been told I need to have eventually also.

I hope things continue to get better and you are able to catch up on the things you need to do without overtiring yourself.
